This is a fantastic CD; selections range from the bright, cheerful "In the Mood", to the mellow, romantic "Moonlight Serenade". The CD does not seem to have been cleaned up; the music has the 'pop and crackle' distinctive to vinyl albums. Some may object, but I find the effect charmingly nostalgic. Timeless This is a must have CD for anyone who enjoys swing. The recording quality is good and it includes Glenn's most popular tunes. It's the CD I choose for relaxing or chasing away the blues. Glenn's timeless! An awesome CD A great CD. With great songs. Especially "In the Mood" which is such a classic song. I think Glenn Miller is one of the best. (This item is currently not available.) Two great stories served Veggie Style! They did it again! Here's another Veggie Tales destinated to be a classic! The whole thing is hilarious from beginning to end. The first story is an interesting take on Miriam and the baby Moses. This version addresses how Miriam overcomes her initial jealousy and resentment at the new baby in the house and learns to love her new baby brother. All the characters are great. I got a kick out of the princess who rescues Moses from the water, but I won't give it away. We then take a break as Larry attempts to sing the blues. He gets some expert coaching from Blind Lincoln Lemon, but to no avail. Larry is just too happy to sing the blues. Finally, the main feature at the end is about Duke and the Great Pie War. This is a veggie version of the story of Ruth. I loved the new character Sweet Petunia who plays Ruth. The humor reminded me of a Christian kid's version of Monty Python. Very off the wall in the best Veggie Tales tradition. My toddlers loved this DVD, but I think I enjoyed it more than they did!

Elton John - Greatest Hits 1970-2002
Elton John - Greatest Hits 1970-2002
Elton John - Greatest Hits 1970-2002 Artist: Elton John (Usually ships in 24 hours) This is the first attempt to consolidate all of Sir Elton's hit singles, from three labels, in one collection. Wonderful for making love, I'm sure, but also suited to bringing well-delivered humor to the everyday. A trip for both normal people and jaded radio junkies, especially with Patton and Dan together. Really Grows on You ... it's Good ... I have to admit that when I first reveived this album I wasn't immediately in love with the Lovage. It's not sexy in the style of Maxwell or other soulful pimps (not that it's supposed to be!) but rather it's more of a raunchy/dirty sound with loops.
After listening to this for a while though it's become one of my favorite albums (the true measure of a good record ... gets better with time and not tired!). I have some of Jennifer Charles' Elysium Fields stuff but I haven't heard her sound as good as she does on this record ... this sultry/sexy genre is definitely her cup of tea. There are 6 songs on this album that I really love (Pit Stop/Thief/Strangers/Anger Management/Stroker Ace/Lifeboat) ... how many records can I say that about? Not many. At first my big complaint was that I wanted a lot more of Charles and a lot less of Patton ... but I've even come to like his parts a lot more as well. Like I said, it really grows on you. Sensual and Unique CD I enjoy a variety of music and really am intrigued by most of the songs on this CD. What enticed me to order the CD was hearing "Stroker Ace" while enjoying wine and candles - with a friend of course. It is a combination of soul, sex and light jazz! Truly sensual

Solid Gold Hits
Solid Gold Hits
Solid Gold Hits Artist: Beastie Boys (Usually ships in 24 hours) Click Here for more information great introduction to beastie boys if you are new to the beastie boys (like me) this is a great first album to get. it has all their best song and no filler. heres a song by song breakdown.
1. So What'cha Want - 4/5 - Great intro song, but not the best.
2. Brass Monkey - 5/5 - Amazing song, the best song from their debut album.
3. Ch-Check it Out - 5/5 - Best song on the album, although MCA's voice sounds shot compared to some of the earlier songs. Also, I think the Just Blaze Remix is better if you can find that.
4. No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn - 3/5 - not one of my favorites, but its still pretty good.
5. Hey Ladies - 5/5 - Great song, really shows off the genious of Paul's Boutique.
6. Pass The Mic - 3/5 - The worst song on the album, although it's ok.
7. An Open Letter to NYC - 4/5 - Great tribute to NYC, but like with Ch-Check it Out, MCA's voice isn't as good as in the older songs.
8. Root Down - 4/5 - Great song.
9. Shake Your Rump - 4/5 - Another one from Paul's Boutique, although not as good as Hey Ladies.
10. Intergalactic - 5/5 - The first Beastie Boys song I ever heard, back when it came out in 98, great song.
11. Sure Shot - 4/5 - Great song, the only rap song I've ever heard that successfully incorporates a flute.
12. Body Movin' (Fatboy Slim Remix) - 5/5 - Takes the original, which was an ok song, and turns it into something sublime.
13. Triple Trouble - 4/5 - Great song, but it has the same beat as Rapper's Delight by Sugarhill Gang.
14. Sabotage - 4/5 - Great song, more metal than rap.
15. Fight for your Right - 5/5 - How can you not love this song? The best of the beasties! So the original party hard, drunken b-boys are back with their greatest hits package! This album has it all and then some. If you are a beasties fan then you had better check this out. It gives you all the required tunes from all their albums and a few cuts that you may or may not like. They received mixed reviews of their last album "To the 5 Burroughs" but they include a few cuts off that joint as well. The most impressive feature of this album is the sequencing. If these three kids can sequence an MPC without fail, why couldn't they sequence their greatest hits package just as well? They open with the classic "So whatcha want?" (1) and close with the unforgettable "Fight for Your Right (15)." In between you find them partying, dancing, and speaking to the city that birthed em (and this culture we live called hip hop). If you know the beasties and know what they are all about then you must pick this up and enjoy the fun of their carrer. If you don't know them, here is your chance to realize that they are some of the best to ever do it. The Best of the Beasties I've been a casual fan of the Beastie Boys since I was a kid (I'm now 27 y/o). Strangely, I don't have much of their music, which is why this album is so perfect for me. Back when people still listened to audio cassettes (remember those?), I bought one of their albums but didn't like it that much. As I learned, the Beastie Boys are original, but aside from their most popular songs (as contained on this CD), most of their songs are lame.

So, I waited patiently for the day that they would release a best hits CD, and that day has come. The songs on this album are great, even the few that I hadn't heard before on the radio. All their most popular songs are there. I agree with the other reviewers that this CD is better suited for someone who doesn't already have their other CDs and is just a casual fan of their songs.

Some other people have complained about the CD case being cheap cardboard, but it's really not an issue since nobody hangs onto those things anyway. However, I do agree that a booklet with the lyrics would have been a welcome addition, but it hardly detracts from such an excellent CD. If it's that big of a deal to you, I'm sure the lyrics are easily found somewhere on-line.

In summary, if you recognize the names of the songs and turn up the volume when you hear one of them on the radio, you should considering buying it. You'll be glad you did.

Elton John - Greatest Hits 1970-2002
Elton John - Greatest Hits 1970-2002
Elton John - Greatest Hits 1970-2002 Artist: Elton John (Usually ships in 24 hours) Click Here for more information This is the first attempt to consolidate all of Sir Elton's hit singles, from three labels, in one collection.
